Teknos said that “as a sustainable supply partner and employer with responsibilities to both our international workforce and the wider global community,” it fully supports Fensterbau Frontale’s decision to postpone the March trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany.

With the increase in cases of COVID-19 and its progression to previously unaffected countries, Teknos said it is also taking precautions to minimize its spread.

Teknos CEO, Paula Salastie and her senior management team suspended all but essential travel for Teknos staff and gave advice on extra hygiene care to protect employees.

Despite these challenges, Teknos said it will still be introducing customers to a number of new exterior products over the coming months.

Teknos said it will provide product application and technical data, online information and video which brings the Teknos Fensterbau experience “directly to customers’ desks.”

One of the showpieces will be TEKNOFINISH HAILRESIST 4800.

According to the company, this product is an innovative hail resistant topcoat, with a hail class rating of HW3 and a unique film technology that flexes on impact, preventing the coating from cracking. It is ideal for windows, doors and cladding.

Teknos is also launching TEKNOCLAD 3370 & 3371, a direct-to-wood, cladding coating that it said is extremely fast-drying and has excellent block-resistance. An intumescent primer, TEKNOSAFE 2407 is classified B-s1,d0 according to EN13501-1 and works by forming an insulating carbon foam char that prevents the spread of flame.

Amongst the non-wood coating highlights, Teknos said, is HYDROPUR 2K COLOR, a hard-wearing opaque coating for uPVC windows and GRP doors. For metal facades, the INFRALIT range offers powder coatings with high UV resistance, GSB and Qualicoat certifications and enhanced effect finishes such as snakeskin.
